      The G70 Bluetooth®

       

      The G70 Bluetooth® is a hard-wearing, hard-wired, vehicle tracking device equipped with multiple configurable connectors as well as a powerful Bluetooth® module capable of detecting and integrating BLE 5.2 tags. It is ideal for external mounting on excavators, ATVs, golf buggies, trailers, and any application where the device might be exposed to the elements.

      What's in the Box?

       



      The G70 Bluetooth® comes with 

      • A packet of screws - to secure the housing
      • A pre-connected cable harness - to connect to your asset and peripherals
      • A spare serial sticker - just in case

       

      Provisioning your G70 Bluetooth

      1. Choose a SIM Card Provider
      2. Install a Micro (3FF) SIM Card
      3. Review Admin Parameters
      4. Connect the Internal Battery
      5. Seal the Housing
      6. Select BLE Tags (optional)
      7. Integration (Product Code: 115)

       

      Installing a G70 Bluetooth

      Installing a G70 Bluetooth follows the same process as installing a regular G70.

      Feature Description
      Movement Trips Fine-tuned control for GPS-derived trip detection to prevent false trips.
      Heartbeat Choose the maximum time between uploads for data and power efficiency.
      Logging Selectively adjust updates to get a detailed play-by-play of your trip.
      Speeding Activate an audible buzzer or pick from several options to log speeding events.
      Harsh Driving Configure force thresholds and buzzer behaviour for harsh cornering, braking, and more.
      Idle Monitoring Have the device keep track of when the ignition is on, and the vehicle isn't moving.
      Driver ID Function Disable a buzzer warning or an immobilizer when the correct ID is presented.
      Accelerometer Choose what the device does when it experiences bumps, vibrations, or impacts.
      Input Monitor Combine a speed threshold and a digital input for seatbelt alerts over a certain speed.
      Driver Fatigue Trigger a buzzer and record when trip-time exceeds a safe threshold.
      GPS Freshen Keep the GPS updated while out of trip to ensure an accurate fix at a moment's notice.
      Analog Threshold 1 Upload when an analog signal, like a fuel probe, or battery voltage exceeds a threshold.
      External Power Receive an alert when the external power is lost, like flat battery or device removal.
      Battery Voltage Receive alerts on the health of the internal battery - enabling proactive intervention.
      Battery Charging Prove that the device is not drawing down a connected asset's battery while recharging.
      GPS Jamming Identify when something is wrong with the GPS signals surrounding your asset.
      Odometer Use the device's onboard odometer and run hour readings to monitor your asset.
      Inactivity Timer Receive an alert when your assets are being underutilized.

      BLE Continuous Tag Scanning Scan for Bluetooth peripherals and their readings all the time.
      BLE Eddystone Filter your BLE Tags to a select set of Eddystone protocol tags
      BLE iBeacon Filter your BLE Tags to a select set of iBeacon protocol tags
      BLE MAC Filter Use the MAC address of your devices as filters to ignore unwanted signals
      BLE Generic Protocol Tags Filter your BLE Tags to any tag type to expand your options for BLE tags
      BLE Advanced Scanning Communicate via active scans and change the scan technology for better integration.
      BLE Tag Analog Mapping (x3) Make the device report sensor readings from a BLE tag as if they were ‘married’

       

      Enabling Features

      Time Zone and Daylight Savings Configure specific datetime settings to assist with scheduled uploads.
      After Hours Assign working times by days of the week and activate auto-recovery mode.
      Ignition Control Choose what happens when current goes through the ignition wire.
      Digital Input Mapping Customize what happens when you wire digital inputs to your device.
      Digital Output Control Use the device to control other things, like immobilising a car, or turning on a buzzer.
      Run Detect Use external power voltage to control trip detection.
      Alternative Heartbeat Change the heartbeat frequency when inside a downloaded geofence or after hours.
      Alternative Logging Change the logging frequency when inside a downloaded geofence or after hours.
      Upload (Advanced) Stay connected to the server so as to be ready for an asynchronous message at any time.
      Analogue Input (Advanced) Choose which numbered analog option to use with the input wire.
      SMS Prevent the device from responding to unwanted SMS commands.

        

      Frequently Asked Questions

       

      Aside from Bluetooth Functions, are there any other differences between the G70-4G and the G70-4G Bluetooth?

      • From a hardware perspective the Bluetooth functions are the only difference, but you will need to recreate your Parameter Templates.
      • From a firmware/software perspective, the G70-4G Bluetooth has a new product-id code: 115 - use this code when making API calls or integrating the device into a third-party-system.
