What is LightMetrics?
LightMetrics is an AI Dashcam platform which supplies camera hardware, firmware and a software system for partners. Telematics Guru has an integration with Lightmetrics such that you can view and interact with these cameras after performing the setup yourself.
How Can I Get Started?

---|---|
Feature Manager | Asset Manage |
Feature Manager | Camera Media Manage |
Feature View | Camera Media View |
Partner Manager | Partner Integration Manage |
Partner Manager | Organisation View |
Partner Manager | Organisation Manage |
- Contact Lightmetrics support and request API credentials (this should take the form of a lowercase partner name and a long, randomized password that looks like an API Key)
- Ensure that both your Home Organisation and the target customer organisation has the following functionality:
- Camera Integration
- Camera Integration
- While viewing any org, navigate to Admin → Organisation Management → Partner Integrations
- Click on “Create” in the top right-hand corner
- From Integration Type choose “Lightmetrics Auth”

- Under LightMetrics Password enter the long API-Key-looking password from Lightmetrics
- Under LightMetrics API URL enter
https://api.lightmetrics.co/
- Click Save
- Back on the Partner Integrations screen, click the Edit button (next to the delete button) to re-open the Edit Partner Integration popup.
- You will now see a Subscribe to Webhooks button. Upon clicking it you will receive a success message if your details have been entered correctly. *please note, if you are using Lightmetrics webhooks for EVENT_CREATED or DVR_UPLOADED then clicking this button will change them to point towards Telematics Guru.
- Navigate to Admin → Organisation Management → Organisation
- Find your organisation in the list and click the edit button
- Under the tab Camera Fleet enter in the following details
- Partner Integration - choose the one you just entered for Display Name on the Edit Partner Integration popup.
- Camera Fleet Name - choose an appropriate name to use within TG menus.
- Camera Fleet Id - Copy the ‘Account ID’ from your Lightmetrics master portal that represents the customer fleet you want to pair with this organisation. This prevents data from other Lightmetrics accounts you control from finding its way into this TG organisation. This field is case-sensitive.
- Partner Integration - choose the one you just entered for Display Name on the Edit Partner Integration popup.
- Click Save.
- To confirm that your setup is functional, please switch to the organisation for which you set up your Camera Fleet, and then navigate to Assets → Manage Cameras.
