Certification Description
RoHS
The RoHS2 Directive, 2011/65/EU, restricts the use of lead and other potentially hazardous substances including Cadmium, Mercury Chromium VI, PBBs and PBDEs contained in electrical and electronic products. RoHS limits these substances to 0.1% or 1,000 ppm (except for cadmium, which is limited to 0.01% or 100 ppm) by weight of homogenous material.
REACH
REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) is an EU regulation governing chemical substances' safe use to protect human health and the environment. It aims to identify and manage substances of very high concern (SVHCs), such as carcinogens and toxins, by requiring their registration, communication along the supply chain, and authorization for certain uses.
Prop65
IP
An IP Rating outlines how resistant the device housing is to water and dust ingress. Most of our range is IP68 rated, which ensures devices can withstand fine dust, high-pressure spray, submersion for 30 minutes in 1m of water, and extreme temperatures.
IK
A measure of how much impact the housing can sustain. Most devices are IK07 rated or above.
IK07 rated means the housing is protected against 2 joules of impact, equivalent to an impact of 0.500kg mass dropped from 400mm above the impacted surface.
Bluetooth SIG
Bluetooth SIG refers to a qualification programme proving interoperability between Bluetooth devices made by different manufacturers. The certification is led by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, and is required for Bluetooth.
Network Approvals
AT&T
AT&T is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the United States, providing a wide range of services including wireless, internet, TV, and home phone. AT&T's certification and testing processes ensure that electronic devices and services meet their quality and compatibility standards before deployment on their network. This involves evaluating devices for compatibility with AT&T's network technologies, performance, security, and user experience.
Telstra
Telstra, one of Australia's leading telecommunications companies, implements rigorous testing and certification procedures to ensure that devices and services meet their quality and compatibility standards for use on their network. This involves evaluating devices for compatibility with Telstra's network technologies, performance, security, and user experience.
