| One short flash and one longer flash | Reset indication |
| Rapid short flashes for 10 seconds | Invalid configuration detected at startup (use config app to set region) |
| Short flash, once per second | Heartbeat or movement check in progress |
| Medium flash, once per second | Trip in progress |
| Up to ten long flashes in two seconds | Transmission failed due to interference |
| Up to four longer flashes in two seconds | Transmission succeeded |
| Constant on for 10 seconds | Brownout reset (batteries need replacement if this happens repeatedly) |
| Constant on | Connected by cable to config app, or waiting for app to update firmware |
