Integrating VisionMax Cameras into Telematics Guru
AI Dashcams integration via VisionMax
Table of Contents
What is VisionMax?
VisionMax is the manufacturer MiTAC's own AI Dashcam platform. After buying a camera from MiTAC, you will be given the option of which firmware (and by extension software platform) you want to use - VisionMax is the native option. Telematics Guru has an integration with VisionMax such that you can view and interact with these cameras after performing the setup yourself.
How Can I Get Started?
- Ensure that you have the following permissions in Telematics Guru:
Feature Category | Permission Name |
---|---|

- Contact VisionMax support and request an API key for your instance. An API key will typically take the form of a large string of random letters and numbers.
- Within VisionMax, make a fleet for your end-customer, and then create a user ("account") within that fleet with an admin role. Once the user has been made, copy down the e-mail and password chosen.
- Ensure that both your Home Organisation and the target customer organisation has the following functionality:
- Camera Integration
- Camera Integration
- While viewing any org, navigate to Admin → Organisation Management → Partner Integrations
- Click on “Create” in the top right-hand corner

- Camera Fleet Id - Copy the ‘Fleet ID’ from your VisionMax portal that represents the customer fleet you want to pair with this organisation. This prevents data from other VisionMax accounts you control from finding its way into this TG organisation. This field is case-sensitive.
