The Yabby WiFi devices uses WiFi to scan for access points and records the MAC address and signal strength plus some other info, and sends this list up to the server.

For Yabby WiFi units on Telematics Guru we then take this information and translate this into a location estimate.

As a Google Enterprise customer we have access to the Google API to do this, but this incurs a fee for every time a lookup is performed.

We need to recoup this cost and this is added on to Reseller Partners monthly bill as "TG Wifi Lookup Fees".

This charge is over and above any device plan that the device is on, as it is totally dependent on the number of WiFi lookups that are required.
