The User Security Report gives you visibility into the user accounts across your Device Manager organisation and how many devices each user can access, whether they have 2FA enabled, what type of credential they log in with, and when their account was created, last updated, and last used.

Note: this is a different report to the Telematics Guru User Audit Log Report, which tracks changes users make within TG (e.g. editing assets, alerts, or scheduled reports). The User Security Report instead reports on the accounts themselves.

Your user account will need the relevant Reports role and UserManager role enabled. Contact DM support if you can't see the Devices Not Connecting report in your toolbar.

      Report Content

The User Security Report will report by exception. If the report is empty then all users are compliant.

      Report Parameters

      • Distributor: scope the report to a single distributor's users, or run it across all distributors you have access to.

      • Minimum Accessible Devices: filter out users with very limited device access (e.g. sub-accounts with visibility into only a handful of devices), so you can focus on users who manage a meaningful part of the fleet.

      What's in the Report

      Report Column Description
      User The user's account name/login.
Security Flags Highlights accounts that may need attention – for example, accounts without 2FA enabled or that haven't logged in for an extended period.
Distributor / Vendor / Client The account hierarchy the user belongs to.
Device Count The number of devices this user account can access.
2FA Enabled Whether two-factor authentication is enabled on the account.
Credential Type How the user authenticates – e.g. a local Device Manager username/password, or single sign-on.
Last Login (UTC) The last time the account was used to log in.
Created Date (UTC) / Created By When the account was created, and which admin created it.
Last Updated Date (UTC) / Last Updated By When the account was last modified, and by whom.

      Why This Matters

This report supports regular security housekeeping across your organisation: confirming 2FA is enabled where it should be, spotting dormant accounts that should be disabled, and keeping a record of who has access to how many devices and who granted it. It's a useful report to run periodically as part of a security review, particularly for partners managing users across multiple clients.

How do I run this report?

      • Your user account will need the relevant Reports permission enabled. Contact DM support if you can't see the User Security report in your toolbar.

      • The report can be run on-demand from the Reports tab in Device Manager, or configured to run automatically. See the Scheduled Reports in Device Manager article for further details.
