Report Parameters What's in the Report Why This Matters How do I run this report?

The Devices Not Connecting Report serves as a useful device Health Check to assist with identifying devices that haven't connected in for longer than expected, so issues can be caught and investigated before they turn into a bigger problem (a lost device, a flat SIM, a field fault, and so on).

      Report Parameters

      • Days Since No Connection: only include devices that haven't connected within this many days.

      • Device Type: scope the report to a specific product, or run it across all device types.

      • System Parameter Template: scope the report to devices sharing a specific parameter template.

      • Include Disabled Devices: whether to include devices that have been deliberately disabled/deactivated. Leave this off if you only want to see devices that should be connecting but aren't.

      What's in the Report

      Report Column Description
Device Type / Serial Number / IMEI Identifies the device.
Last Committed The last time the device's configuration was successfully committed. See Since Committed/Since Connected and Troubleshooting for how this differs from Last Connected.
Last Connected The last time the device connected in at all.
Days Offline The number of days since the device last connected.
Device Type / Serial Number / IMEI Identifies the device.

      Why This Matters

Devices that go quiet can be easy to miss until a customer notices and raises a complaint. Running this report regularly (or scheduling it) means you find out first, whether that's a device that needs a battery/SIM check, or one that's simply been decommissioned and should be marked disabled.
