Alert when external power is removed
Hawk Pro NTN note: The Hawk Pro NTN has automatic Vbatt / Vext detection — it senses external power vs internal battery without manual Device Manager configuration. The external-power-removed alert configuration described below applies to the Hawk Pro, Hawk Pro NTN and Hawk Lite as written.
See the Hawk Pro vs Hawk Pro NTN article for full hardware differences.
Applies to:
- Hawk Pro
- Hawk Pro NTN
- Hawk Lite
Many people want to connect their Hawks to external power, and send an alert/upload when the device is removed from this power.
If you need assistance with wiring in external power, please see:
Getting alerts based on power being removed is very easy!
Hawk Pro

Simply configure the above parameter, and get it to Log + Upload when the input goes active or inactive, just depending on what you are after.
You should see the device uploading immediately when external power is removed.
Hawk Lite
The Hawk Lite is not intended to be connected to external power, therefore all you can do is monitor the battery voltage.

You can set this to be whatever you like, and use the Digital Input Monitor to perform actions depending on the threshold you set above.
