The G120 can detect trips with either of the following methods.
- Ignition based - based on the white ignition line being wired n
- Movement based - based on GPS movement
- Run Detect - based on change in external voltage
Ignition and Movement based tracking are enabled by default. The Overview of Operation - [G120] article explains in detail how all the tracking modes in the G120 works.
For some applications, we may want to disable movement trips. To do so, we simply need to edit the parameters, add the Movement Trips parameter tab, and change these 2 parameters to the values shown.
One such application is when we want to prevent an asset being towed from incrementing it's run hours/odometer in TG (or another platform)
