A key feature of the G120 is that it will directly support Wiegand card readers.

Wiegand is an old but common standard for card readers and access control systems.

Connections

The Wiegand interface uses 4 wires.

These can be connected to the 4 way molex plug on the G120 Harness

Ground

Any can be used, but Pin 15 (black) is convenient

Power

Pin 3 (purple on 4 way connector) - this power rail is generally used to supply the DM RFID reader. So it will only output approximately 4V. Some Wiegand RFID readers require a higher voltage to operate, in which case you will need to connect the Wiegand reader power input to a higher voltage source. If it will operate fine on 4V, use pin 3

Data 0

Connect to Pin 14, TTL RX (Green on 4 way connector)

Data 1

Connect to Pin 13, TTL TX (Brown on 4 way connector)

System Parameters

Be sure to set the 4 Wire Plug Function in system parameters to Wiegand
